In the East-Flemish Waasmunster, situated on the banks of the Durme, you can eat, party and sleepover nowadays with Di Legno. Diner, banquet facilities and bed and breakfast “De Koolputten” offers it all.
Originally a small coal port with well frequented hostel and mansion, the site went in decline in the 80’ties of the last century. Until a descendant of the original owners could acquire the site in 2012. The coal company was demolished but the architect collective "GMF architects" was instructed to transport the authenticity of the original site into the new construction and the renovation of the old mansion.
GMF-architects chose Di Legno and our partner Seghers-Setisol to provide for a large portion of finishing of the site. In total, Seghers-Setisol placed very skillfully about 385 m² Duo18180, 395 m² Tri14180, 8 m² Bal14182CLV and a grand staircase in the color Pimonte.
Our parquet was in this case not only used for the floors and desk tablets of the 8 rooms at the bed & breakfast, but also for the floor, the ceiling and the stair wall in the banquet facilities, giving the whole a modern, but still authentic and harmonious look. The stairs and stair wall have become a real eye-catcher for the banquet facilities.
Proving once again that Di Legno floors are not only suited for old houses or new constructions but are also the best choice for renovations in which the emphasis is placed on authenticity.
